Third Party Audit & Assurance Specialist (Exit Plan & Continuity Focus)
You and your job
As a Third Party Audit & Assurance Specialist with an exit and contingency planning focus, you support Rabobank’s operational resilience by assessing and challenging exit strategies for critical supplier relationships (incl. subcontracting). By performing first line style audits you help ensure that dependence on third parties is understood and that credible (scenario based) exit and contingency plans are in place and exercised properly, to safeguard continuity under normal and stressed conditions.
You act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring that exit and contingency readiness and supplier resilience are transparent, well understood, and aligned with Rabobank’s risk frameworks.
Practical examples
- Assessing whether a supplier’s actions in the exit plan is realistic, complete, and executable
- Performing a first line audits at a critical suppliers
- Identifying gaps in transition arrangements, data migration, or resource availability
- Reviewing assurance evidence (incl. resilience exercise results) that supports continuity and resilience claims
- Supporting improvements to exit planning standards and assessment practices
Your responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert in forming and evaluating exit and contingency plans for critical supplier contracts
- Perform first line risk-style audits on suppliers on a variety of topics including a focus on:
- Exit feasibility and transition arrangements
- Business continuity and operational resilience
- Assess whether exit plans align with contractual obligations and internal risk requirements
- Support coordination and quality reviews of assurance activities, including SOC and ISO reports also as they relate to continuity and exit risks
- Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps, and clearly document findings and recommended actions
Contribute to consistent and risk-based exit planning assessments across suppliers
Your profile
- Experience in third-party risk management, outsourcing oversight, operational risk, or continuity-related roles. Experience as a SOC auditor or analyst would be ideal.
- Understanding of exit planning concepts, supplier dependencies, and transition risks
- Demonstrates insights in working with our suppliers in understanding their context so as to work effectively with them
- Ability to review and challenge supplier-provided documentation and assurance evidence
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and scenario-based thinking
- Clear communicator who can translate risks into practical insights
- Structured, quality-oriented, and able to work independently within clear frameworks
