Do you want to make a real impact within a rapidly growing team of international tax professionals? At BDO Netherlands, you will join our specialised Pillar Two team as a trusted advisor to multinational clients across various sectors. Working closely with your colleagues, you help build long-term client relationships and support organisations with complex Pillar Two matters in a dynamic, international environment.
About the Pillar Two Team
BDO Netherlands’ Pillar Two team consists of 15 professionals across multiple offices who advise and lead large Pillar Two mandates. We support several hundred in-scope MNEs and manage the full Pillar Two cycle: from impact assessments and financial statement disclosures to preparing and filing DMTT returns and GIR forms.
Our team has invested significantly in self-developed technology (while also working with third‑party solutions) and plays a leading role in the market through thought‑leadership initiatives. We guide MNEs in critical discussions with auditors and tax authorities and lead global compliance projects. Due to the strong and continuous growth of this team, and with Pillar Two expected to remain strategically important, we are now looking to expand with a senior hire.

In this role, you will lead complex Pillar Two engagements for multinational clients while ensuring excellent delivery throughout each project. You coach, inspire and support junior colleagues in their day‑to‑day development and safeguard the highest quality of all global Pillar Two calculations, analyses and related deliverables. You take the lead in client calls, meetings and presentations and act as the primary point of contact for auditors, guiding clients in forming robust and defensible accounting positions as Pillar Two guidance continues to evolve. In addition, you actively strengthen and expand the team’s external market footprint through relationship building and thought leadership, all while contributing to a fun, respectful and high‑performing team culture. You work closely with BDO’s global Pillar Two leaders, benefit from occasional international travel opportunities, and will be based in our Amstelveen office (preferred due to the team’s composition) or alternatively in Rotterdam or Eindhoven.
You bring:
- Demonstrable experience in managing Pillar Two projects
- Strong knowledge of Pillar Two rules
- Solid legal analysis and drafting skills
- A good understanding of (tax) accounting concepts
- A hands‑on and analytical mindset — you enjoy reviewing complex calculations, even if you are trained as a lawyer
- A collaborative, curious and resourceful attitude
- Affinity with tax technology and data‑driven calculation tools (experience with vendor Pillar Two solutions is a plus)
- Familiarity with accounting frameworks such as IFRS (IAS 12 amendments), US GAAP (ASC 740) or comparable local GAAPs as they relate to Pillar Two
- Minimum 6 years of experience (Manager) or 8+ years (Senior Manager) in international tax, transfer pricing or tax accounting, whether in an accounting firm, law firm or in‑house environment
- A university degree in tax economics, tax law or accounting
- International profiles are welcome. Experience within the Dutch (or comparable) professional environment is strongly preferred.
