Actuarial Developer – Life Platform

As we continue to grow our Life product, we're looking for a curious and motivated Actuary who’s eager to work at the intersection between actuarial modelling and modern software development. 

You will join a small but highly skilled team where experience runs deep, collaboration is natural, and learning happens every day.

Typical areas you’ll be involved in includes

You will work with complex actuarial calculations and contribute directly to the core logic behind our Life platform. Your tasks will include: 

• Developing and maintaining advanced actuarial calculations
• Working on the calculation engines that power our life and pension products 
• Contributing to development tasks and internal tooling 
• Designing and validating financial and insurance-related calculation logic 
• Supporting ongoing improvements to our product and calculation framework 

Where you will work 

You will primarily work from our Amsterdam office at, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central to our culture.  Hybrid work is possible, and working from home is perfectly fine when it suits the task. 

Occasional travel to our Danish headquarters can be expected, not often, but enough to stay connected with the broader Life team.

What we’re looking for 

You can be newly graduated or bring a few years of experience; what matters most is your motivation and your interest in combining actuarial work with development. 
You hold a degree such as: 

• Actuarial Science 
• Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance (UvA) 
• Or a closely related field like HvA 

Domain knowledge 

• Life insurance and/or pension products 
• Interest in financial modelling and calculation logic 

Technical interest 

You don’t need to be a full‑time developer, but you should enjoy coding and want to build technical skills as part of your role.
