IT Risk Manager - Rabobank

That you play a key role in making Rabobank become the “Bank of the Future”. Rabobank increasingly accelerates in working with start-ups and adopting new technologies like block chain, data-analytics and cloud. As a IT Risk Manager you are a part of a transformation with challenging topics related to Continuity and IT Risk. Imagine that you can provide strong, fact-based advise, to facilitate this acceleration.

Making a difference
Creating impact with the following activities:

  • Pro-actively advise your colleagues in the CIOO and DTO departments about IT risk;
  • Analyze operational incidents and perform risk analyses related to IT and Continuity;
  • Work with other departments to establish a powerful risk-aware culture;
  • Develop IT-related risk policies, aiming for simple and strong guidance;
  • Challenge your colleagues about trends and developments;
  • Report on IT-risk themes (like Security, Outsourcing/Cloud, BCM and IT Risk) for risk governing bodies, establishing an integrated risk view, together with other Compliance, Legal and Risk departments.
  • Think out of the box aiming to leverage new technologies and ways of working.

The Continuity & IT Risk department is responsible for managing risks within Rabobank and specifically in the IT and operations departments. Collaboration is key, both with other departments, as with other colleagues from Compliance, Legal and Risk. Agile/scrum is our way of working, we continuously improve, learn and stimulate each other’s professional development. By combining our strengths across different departments, we bring the most added value for the bank.

With you
A passion for change, customer focus, pro-activity, organizational sensitivity and being result driven are essential competencies that are required for this function. Other requirements are:

  • Academic grade in a relevant subject (e.g. Information Technology or Business Administration) with additional courses related to risk management (e.g. RE, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC);
  • > 5 years of experience in different roles within Risk Management, Audit or Information Technology in a complex organization
  • Knowledge of IT compliance, Audit, Risk Management Frameworks (e.g. Cobit, ISO) and regulation (e.g. Sox)
  • Proficient in the Dutch and English language, both verbally as in writing.

The following conditions will be additionally valued:

  • Experience in Project Management and/or Consultancy;
  • Knowledge of the Rabobank organization and specifically Wholesale, Rural and Retail.
  • Knowledge of actual technology topics like security by design, cloud computing, IT in start-ups, data-analytics.

  • Flexible working times and location-independent working.
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport. Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a home/work travel allowance.
  • A pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 5%.
